So working at the school you get to see the innocence of little kids...especially in Kindergarten! A couple of weeks ago I was helping a little Kindergarten kid put his alphabet in order. He stopped looked at me and said, "Is your name is Ms. Walker?" I replied, "Yes it is." With the deer in the head light look he stands up and says if your name is Ms. Walker why don't you walk like this (he stands up and is pretending to walk with a walker) Seriously how do you not laugh at that?! I just laughed and said it's just my name, let's finish your ABC's!
Another classic...The teacher asked the class why do we say the Pledge of Allegiance? A little girl in the class raised her hand and said "Because we don't want to make Jesus mad."
The other aid in the class was telling me how she got her hair dyed and it was darker than normal. The twin of the Ms. Walker story said to her who are you? She told him her name and he said no you are not her, your hair is to dark!
It is moments like these that make me excited about teaching. Seriously kids are so cute, innocent, and funny!! (To bad they aren't this way all the time!)
